Colorado River Fly Fishing Trips

I am offering float trips on the lower Colorado River. The Colorado is a real gem of a fishery offering chances at trophy browns, rainbows and cutthroats. From Glenwood Springs down to Rifle the trout fishing is amazing. Drift boats are the best way to fish this large river and I use one of the best and most comfortable boats on the water in Stealthcraft. I am lucky enough live on the Colorado just down stream from New Castle and have a boat ramp in my back yard. With access to almost a mile of private water from the back yard few get to see and interact with this river more. Dries, nymphs and streamers all have there time and place on this grand river. I have been guiding full time here in Colorado for 20 years and love sharing my experience and experiences with fly fishing and rivers.

Trips

Lower Colorado River, Roaring fork River, Gunnison Gorge & lower Gunnison River.

1/2 day floats- $525. 4hrs on water includes rods, flies, beverages. 1 or 2 clients.

3/4 day floats- $600. 6hrs on water includes rods, flies, beverages. 1 or 2 clients.

Full day floats- $700. 8hrs on water includes rods, flies, beverages and a great lunch made by me. 1 or 2 clients.

Fishing licenses and gratuity are not included. Local accommodations can be found in Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Silt, Rifle and Carbondale.

I have my swift water rescue, first aid & cpr and guide instructor certification. Colorado River Fly Fishing is a licensed, insured and bonded outfitter in Colorado.

Gunnison Gorge Multiday Fly Fishing Trips

This is a truly amazing trip down the Gunnison Gorge. I run up to three day trips down in the gorge. This is not your regular fishing trip, sleep in tents by the river for two nights eat amazing breakfasts, lunches and dinners oh yeah and the fishing and scenery is breathtaking. Mules bring our gear down to the river and we have a mile hike down into the gorge after a gnarly four wheel drive road to the trail head. I have been guiding in the gorge for over 10 years with Black Canyon Anglers and am one of the most experienced oarsmen down there which comes in handy as there are numerous class three rapids. Black Canyon Anglers has a great lodge on the river which you can stay in the night before and after the trip.
